One of the most memorable scenes for me from Sabriel. Sabriel and Touchstone have just mustered up the courage to descend into the Bellisaere reservoir to free Sabriel's father from a likely trap. The description of this one is pretty long, so I suggest you go read the book for yourself, lol. I love the water effects (I had... I don't know... at least five layers going for the water alone!).
There was a contest on the site earlier this month called "Kick your own butt," or something to that nature, where you redid a piece from your past to show some improvement. While I missed the contest, finding out about it the day AFTER the deadline, and despite the fact that the new piece is in a different medium than the original, I still felt like symbolically participating by adding my own two pieces to the gambit.
